Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Engineering to join our team and help us build great products. To be successful in this role, you should be confident in both building code and managing teams. We also expect you to be in charge of our integrations with external partners and oversee software development plans from ideation to execution. Ultimately, you’ll make sure we use innovative technologies that maximize our productivity and help our company grow.
This position is on-site at our NYC office.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new technologies and products that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and researchers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Foster an environment of innovation and creativity, encouraging team members to think outside the box and generate new ideas.
- Work with the Product teams to define and collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Develop proofs-of-concept leveraging new technologies.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the company's products and operations.
- Recommend and support engineering best practices and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Act as the technical liaison between the engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in engineering management, including experience leading teams of engineers and product development.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and software engineering best practices.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful products.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Passion for technology and a drive to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
