What you'll do

We are a dynamic media company at the forefront of digital advertising, providing innovative solutions for publishers (sell-side) and agencies/advertisers (buy-side) to optimize revenue and demand while meeting the needs of users. We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our talented teams in technical excellence and strategic product development.

As the VP of Engineering - Media, you will be responsible for leading and managing our engineering organization, driving the development of products tailored to both the sell-side and buy-side markets. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a key role in shaping our engineering strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Your day-to-day activities:

• Leadership and Management: Lead and manage engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives in close collaboration with product managers
• Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development and implementation of our core bidding platform and other products targeting the sell-side and buy-side markets. Drive innovation and stay abreast of industry trends to maintain our competitive edge
• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales and Operations to develop and implement a future-proof technical strategy that aligns with business objectives. Foster strong relationships and effective communication across departments
• Team development: Ensure effective team set-up, including resource allocation, skills development and performance management. Mentor and guide team members, encouraging their professional growth and development
• Engineering Management Team: Serve as a key member of the Engineering Management Team, contributing to strategic decision making and representing the engineering perspective in organizational initiatives

What you bring to the table

• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in organizations with at least 150-200 engineers
• Strong understanding of digital advertising technologies and platforms, particularly in the areas of programmatic advertising and ad tech
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing complex software solutions, ideally in the digital media or advertising industry
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and delivering results.
• Experience of working collaboratively across departments and building strong cross-functional relationships
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities
