The Role

The Basics

The Director, Product Operations will drive cross-functional partnerships with multiple operations teams, product, and engineering to improve the quality of our processes, products, readiness, and maturity of our product operations.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Product Leadership to align on ongoing priorities, coverage model and refining procesvsses.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing to build a flywheel of support for product processes, broaden collaboration with the field, assist with product launches and enforce product integrity. A key responsibility will be to lead processes and tools that provide supporting data for product and business planning.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to inform and influence decision-making. Take a creative approach to problem-solving, driving strategic initiatives.
  • Identify problems across organizations and create processes to solve them. Work with other teams to manage creation and execution of goals, aligning with the product area strategy. Coordinate cross-functional project teams to execute analyses to develop recommendations.
  • Use discretion on problems, determining escalation paths to drive contributions. Distribute timely/accurate updates tailored to audiences. Provide clarity in ambiguous situations to ensure stakeholders are aware of risks and opportunities.
  • Partner across functions to support leadership. Motivate teams to act and drive projects to completion.
  • Exhibit excellent judgment on sensitive and cross-functional issues, fostering collaboration between leaders, sub-teams, and the larger organization.
  • Understand product operations challenges, needs, and priorities to improve launch programs.
  • Potentially lead an operations team for ongoing operational and technical support of launched products

We’re looking for someone with

  • - - 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy or Operations. Product operations experience preferred.
    • 5+ Prior leadership experience strongly preferred since this individual contributor role has potential to grow.
    • Experience working in the enterprise software industry.
    • Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives and partnering effectively on cross-functional projects.
    • Excellent business judgment and problem-solving/analytical skills.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $390,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
