About the opportunity

Contentful is a content management system (CMS) that enables enterprises to publish content across multiple channels with speed and agility. Our platform provides developers and content creators with the tools to manage and deliver engaging and impactful digital experiences, from websites and mobile apps to smart devices and digital signage.

We are actively seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our team and help us explore new opportunities within our Ecosystem product line. You will play a crucial role in elevating our marketplace integrations and improving the developer experience through our App Framework. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for identifying new product opportunities, defining product strategy, and leading the product development process from ideation to launch and growth. This high-impact role will require you to lead large, cross-functional projects and exercise decision-making power to solve valuable problems for our customers.

What to expect?

• Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities
• Lead product discovery efforts, including user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis
• Define the Ecosystem product strategy, including product vision, roadmap, and opportunity prioritization
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, developer relations, and marketing, to ensure successful community development and product creation
• Define and track key product metrics and KPIs to measure product success
• Drive the product development process, including product requirements, user stories and success metrics
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver the product to market
• Communicate product status, progress, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership

What you need to be successful?

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in an API Platform company serving developers
• Proven track record of successfully building products for developers and a passion for a streamlined developer experience
• Strong product management skills, including product strategy, prioritization, customer discovery, and bias for action
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-informed decisions in situations with high uncertainty.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Technical background, with prior experience as an engineer or technical product manager

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $184,000 - $194,500
