We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer Team Lead to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our organization's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure management, including network and systems administration, automation, cloud services, cybersecurity, and team leadership. The successful candidate will lead our global Operations team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of network admins, system engineers, system administrators and desktop support engineers; providing guidance, support and mentorship to ensure effective performance and professional growth
• Set and implement the technical direction for the infrastructure team that is aligned to the organization’s objectives
• Innovate and enhance the infrastructure services through automation and solution engineering
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, plan and execute infrastructure projects, and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices to ensure the security, availability and performance of the infrastructure
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems and cloud services
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and data privacy requirements in all aspects of IT infrastructure operations
• Implement and maintain effective cybersecurity measures, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, CISSP) are a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including network administration, Linux and Windows administration, cloud services and cybersecurity
• 6+ years relevant experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, PERL and PHP
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and best practices, including networking protocols, server virtualization, storage systems and cloud platforms
• Experience in implementing and managing cybersecurity measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and security incident response
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute and monitor infrastructure projects within budget and timeline constraints
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Previous experience from financial industry is preferred
