Position

We are searching for a Program Manager who will play a key role in developing career-related initiatives to empower and connect QuestBridge Scholars and Alumni with professional opportunities at top companies in a variety of industries. There are more than 17,000 Scholars and Alumni within the QuestBridge network, and this role will be instrumental in curating content and resources to help propel Scholars and Alumni to live thriving lives.

The Program Manager will work to deepen Scholar and Alumni resources, supports, tools, and networks to help them successfully navigate their career journeys. They will have a strong focus on content creation, presentation, and program management. This role provides the exciting opportunity to participate in new initiatives for the organization, collaborate cross functionally, and will leverage metrics and data to pivot, iterate, or expand offerings as needed and to strategize about scale and future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programming, planning, and project management of QuestBridge career development programs involving employers, including, but not limited to, career fairs, employer information sessions, networking, and more.
  • Create and distribute resources relevant to Scholars on various topics including but not limited to interview skills and preparation, resume and cover letter tips, networking, negotiation, relocation, and more.
  • Research and stay informed in national, state and local hiring practices, employment trends and other labor related issues.
  • Plan, travel to, and execute small and large-scale meetings, events, and initiatives, both virtually and in-person.
  • Create and manage budgets for specific programs and events, approving and monitoring expenses.
  • Draft marketing and outreach plans with specific messaging, collaborating closely with the Communications team.
  • Become an expert in the team’s project management tools, and adept at creating efficient, streamlined systems to optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with data and systems related teams on program analysis and systems development.
  • Gather and review feedback from various sources, and use tracking and analytics to measure the impact of efforts.
  • Support Scholar-wide survey projects aimed at better understanding the Scholar and Alumni experience and addressing their needs.
  • Travel domestically 4+ times per year for internal and external organizational events.
  • Support other organizational projects, tasks, and goals as needed and as assigned.
  • With all other QuestBridge staff, annually read and evaluate student applications for National College Match, College Prep Scholars Program, and other opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant professional experience including work that supports high-achieving students (or alumni) from first-generation and/or low-income backgrounds.
  • Experience with college recruiting from higher education (career services) or a business perspective (corporate/industry).
  • Familiar with recruiting, career services, career development, and student development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Track record of success in setting priorities, establishing operational processes, and executing on plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Adeptness with CRM systems, technology, and data, with the ability to evaluate and advance current operations.
  • Passion for issues in higher education access and student/alumni career development, particularly for first-generation and/or low-income students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusiveness and diversity.
  • Heightened sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds and a strong track record of handling sensitive personal information and situations.

Salary

$62,400 - $78,000

Hours and Location

This is a full-time position that is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States. Employees will be expected to be engaged online and travel approximately once per quarter.
