Accounting
We have a small and powerful team who work collaboratively to help the departments within Roaming Hunger to not only maximize their revenue but also create smooth practices that increase their efficiency.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the payables process for our fast-paced business. This includes: reviewing vendor bills with sales tax, payments, vendor documentation maintenance, vendor account reconciliations, and internal communications with customer- and vendor-facing teams.
- Assist in coding out transactions in QBO to ensure timely month end close
- Ensure collection, reconciliation, and accounting of all receipts related to company credit card transactions
- Participate in month and year-end closes and provide support to the accounting team on an as-needed basis.
- Assist in organization and documentation of critical corporate information
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure adherence to accounting best practices
- Review SOWs to extract necessary data and create invoices to send to clients.

Requirements
- Experienced: 2-4 years accounting experience preferably within agency services and/or events. Are you experienced in sales tax? Even better!
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting processes
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online
- Highly proficient in Excel functions and GSuite (google docs)
- Must have strong analytical skills; the ability to find and utilize available resources to resolve problems
- Detail oriented and highly organize: excellent attention-to-detail, financial accuracy, and strong customer service towards colleagues, vendors, and other constituents.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong follow up and follow through with requests from all levels, including escalations.
