Role Overview:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our technology vision, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of the cannabis delivery industry. The CTO will lead our engineering team, manage our technology infrastructure, and work closely with other executive team members to align our technology strategy with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic technology plan that supports Zipline's growth and enhances our platform's functionality and user experience.
Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of our application, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to integrate customer feedback and market trends into technology solutions.
Manage technology budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources to prioritize key initiatives and maintain a competitive edge.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Ensure robust data protection and cybersecurity measures are in place to safeguard customer information and company assets.
Drive technology partnerships and vendor relationships to enhance our platform's capabilities and reach.
Provide technical leadership in decision-making and problem-solving processes, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role in a technology-driven company, preferably in the D2C or cannabis industry.
Strong technical background with expertise in software development, system architecture, and emerging technologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business goals into technology solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data security best practices in the cannabis industry.
