We are looking for an exceptional engineering role with a proven record of delivering consistently in high growth and high scale environments. This role is expected to play a vital role in supporting high growth business, drive innovation and deliver the next generation of highly scalable, modular, and extensible big data platform products. These products assist customers understand the type of data they have and the relationship between this data and their business. Through a semantic approach, customers can quickly identify their issues and gain insightful analysis. Additionally, these products need to integrate Conviva's patented technology into various fields. This role also requires ensuring the stability and scalability of the products to earn customer trust.

• Be a trusted individual. Utilize personal experience and technical expertise to ensure the stability and scalability of the product.
• Be a mentor & coach. Mentor multiple engineers to make them successful and contribute to the growth of talent in the China center.
• Be a customer advocate. Translate strategic needs and business asks into design and resolve ambiguity efficiently and with the customer in mind.
• Be a transformation agent. Champion best practices and sharing of components across teams.
• Be hands-on. Participate regularly in code and design reviews, drive technical prototypes and actively contribute to resolving difficult production issues.

Who You Are & What You've Done:

• BS is acceptable, MS or PhD is a plus.
• 7+ years of software engineering including 3+ years in performance, analytics or BI products in big data field.

• Successful experience in building data products similar to below and leading or participating in their design and development.

  • Performance products such as Newrelic, Datadog.
  • Analytics products such as Amplitude, Mixpanel.
  • BI products such as Tableau, Power BI.

• Familiar with Python, Golang, Java, or Rust.

• Hands-on expertise in big data technologies especially in OLAP, such as Clickhouse, Kafka, ES, Greenplum, Druid.

• Experience in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.

• Experience in micro service development and familiar with the relevant technical stack.

• Working experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.

• Excellent English communication skills and ability to influence leaders and senior engineers.

• Experience in DDD development is a plus.

• Thrive in a start-up environment and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
