Responsibilities:

1 Jira Administration:

• Manage and administer Jira Software and Jira Service Management instances, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Customize Jira workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to meet the specific needs of our organization.

2 Plugin Management:

• Evaluate, install, configure, and maintain Jira plugins and add-ons to enhance functionality and improve efficiency.

3 Integration Management:

• Implement and manage integrations between Jira and other tools/systems, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and third-party applications.

4 User Support:

• Provide ongoing support to Jira users, troubleshoot issues, and offer training to ensure effective utilization of the platform.

5 Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve overall workflow efficiency.

6 Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard sensitive information within Jira instances.
• Ensure Jira configurations comply with industry standards and regulations.

7 Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.

8 Upgrades and Migration:

• Plan and execute Jira software upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, with a proven track record of successful Jira implementations and optimizations.

Skills:

• Expertise in Jira Software and Jira Service Management administration.
• Proficient in customization, configuration, and troubleshooting of Jira instances.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Groovy, Python).
• Experience with Jira integrations and plugin management.
• Solid understanding of security principles and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
