Lux Ice was founded in July 2020 and is now experiencing rapid growth. We produce crystal clear, ultra-pure, slow-melting drinking ice available to customers in both retail and on-premise locations.

This exclusive combination of premium quality and rapid, cost-effective production allows us to develop strategic partnerships with key national accounts in both retail and on-premise channels.
What the Job Involves

We are looking for a Controller to design, and lead the accounting, financial, and management control systems necessary to scale our rapidly growing business.
The Controller will be the chief architect in developing the strategic roadmap to mature our accounting operations and implement best-in-class processes, policy, systems, and controls as well as lead the development of operating plans.

Core Responsibilities:
• Design and implement best-practice accounting processes and controls.
• Perform and manage daily operations of general ledger, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, corporate credit card monitoring, payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable invoicing and cash receipts, and cash flow management.
• You will develop the financial calendar and take the actions to adhere to it. This includes month-end closes, AP/AR cycles, tax planning, and payments, among other duties. You will oversee strategic and annual operating plan development. You will also play a lead role in new systems implementation, including NetSuite ERP, CRM, HRIS, and MRP systems.
• Scale and optimize the accounting function to support long-term Company growth; develop best-practice processes and automate through technology. Process improvement and scalability will be at the forefront of everything you do.
• Identifying and developing key performance indicators that align activities with operational goals. Creating and managing budgeting tools to analyze budget-to-actual/variance reporting, financial planning and analysis, and cost savings analysis.
• Anticipating and evaluating business needs to make sure that financial organization and systems appropriately support the company’s growth.
• Perform all cost accounting (inventory methods, standard costing, cost tracking, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and how to apply them in practice. Ability to take ownership of the company's General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and all related accounts.
• Excellent communication skills and an innate ability to break down aspects of financial planning and analytics to team members across all departments.
• ERP systems experience – NetSuite preferred.
• EDI experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment.
• A Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional and management experience in accounting and finance for a large or medium-sized business is required.
• Consumer products manufacturing and distribution industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or similar.
• CPA or equivalent is required.
