About the Senior Backend Engineer role in the finance team
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in backend and relational databases. Interested in building successful products or systems; you’re passionate about data, you are comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; and you’re comfortable learning new technologies and systems.You're interested in understanding complex financial data problems from the company. Snappr is building the most high-caliber engineering team in Colombia, and this is your chance to join it!

Responsibilities

• Supports data consumers like Accounting, Revenue
• The use cases include reconciliation, financial data analytics & business intelligence, compliance reporting, and auditing & compliance
• Build large-scale financial data platform/solution/pipelines using Big Data technologies
• Working closely with cross-functional teams like: engineering, finance and the executive team

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with data analysis creating materialized views, new tables, complex queries across the business
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Typescript or NodeJS
• Experience with stakeholder management
• Excellent English communication skills and experience working with English-speaking teams.

Compensation and Benefits

• 70k - 90k USD per year
