About the role

We are looking for a top-notch Principal (Senior Innovation Consultant), with a strong experience and interest for the Food industry (with a focus on AgriFoodTech). The candidate will help us create an even bigger impact by delivering our Open Innovation consulting services to Food and Beverage corporate clients (incl. Fortune 500 companies), government-backed organisations and investors. The work scope spans from crafting bespoke industry reports and trends analysis through doing bespoke tech scouting, investment due diligence and coordination of pilot projects, among others.

What you will be in charge of:

• Manage all consulting projects from A to Z, from crafting proposals to designing and delivering content to our existing as well as prospective clients
• Work with the core team to gather key findings for each consulting project and develop and provide strategic recommendations to our clients
• Conduct analysis and research by leveraging our FoodTech Data Navigator database (forwardfooding.com/food-tech-data) and external research
• Develop and drive an outstanding strategy to nurture and engage with current and prospective customers
• Stay up-to-speed with the latest trends in the Food Tech sector and regularly publish blog posts and reports on relevant industry news
• Devise strategies to leverage new tools to optimize and increase lead generations

Required skills and experience for the role

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5-10 years of relevant work experience in a consulting role (Innovation Consultancy or equivalent) or within a F&B organisation (Open innovation or R&D)
• Proven experience with developing account strategy and executing sales plans, which involve bringing a deal from cold lead to close
• Passionate about Food Tech and impactful innovation that can make our food system more resilient and sustainable
• You are very knowledgeable about startup venturing and venture capital mechanisms and models
• Skilled in synthesizing information from various sources and inferring practical implications to our existing and prospective clients
• Initiative to research and uncover new methods and approaches (growth mindset)
• Excellent program and project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present information effectively to novice and expert audiences
• Superior attention to detail, organizational skills, and a positive, energetic attitude
• Fully-proficiency in spoken and written English
