SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing world-class customer service in order to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial food equipment and appliances (grills, ovens, skillets, fryers, etc)
OR refrigeration (walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, etc) for our valued customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes the following but other duties may be assigned.)
- Coordinate with management to assure consistency in our service strategy and execution.
- Properly troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs commercial food equipment and appliances, HVAC systems and refrigeration.
- Defines service problems, collects data, establishes facts, and enters accurate information into ticketing system, as well as communicates effectively with manager
- Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures
- Maintains a neat and orderly facilities office, along with a good part and tool inventory.
- Conduct yourself in accordance with the company handbook
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e. EPA, CFESA)
- Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience
- Self-motivated with the proven ability prioritize and work independently
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of education/experience in food service equipment repair or related area is a plus.
- Background experience in gas, electricity, plumbing and/or steam repairs or a strong desire and willingness to learn/study quickly.
- Strong experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience of on computer systems and tablets or a strong desire and willingness to learn/study quickly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock in damp, humid, or freezing conditions
- Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places
