Senior Front-End Engineer (Web3/Blockchain)

The Republic of Palau's Digital Residency Program provides the world's first Web3 ID, which supports the application of Palau ID and ID on-chain. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of our website and applications. You will play a vital role in creating visually appealing, intuitive, and seamless front-end experiences that align with the requirements and specifications of our Web3 project.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to create functional front-end interfaces
• Develop responsive, high-performing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
• Optimize components for enhanced user experience
• Integrate with back-end systems
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of front-end components, ensuring quality assurance and a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Stay updated on Web3 trends
• Optimize performance; ensure visual integrity
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following coding standards and best practices
• Participate in agile development processes.

Qualifications:
Must-Have:

• Proven work experience as a Front-End Engineer, specializing in web development and user interface implementation.
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, SASS, and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of their ecosystems.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Jira, Lark, HotJar, Figma).
• Understanding of version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and debug complex front-end issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Web3 technologies, such as Ethereum, Solidity, and decentralized application (dApp) development.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, package managers, and task runners like Webpack, npm, or Gulp.
• Knowledge of front-end testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing and integration testing.
• You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems
