PHP Developer - Dating Platform

Our client, a boutique canadian web agency is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our complex dating platform. As a PHP Developer, you will work with PHP and JavaScript to enhance and maintain our white label dating sites, catering to the European and American market. With live traffic and millions of profiles, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a seamless user experience**.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to develop new functionalities for our dating platform
• Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) and write unit and acceptance tests
• Apply Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles to maintain a robust architecture
• Utilize SOLID principles to create efficient and scalable code
• Work with Elastic Search as the search engine for the platform

Requirements:

• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript
• Strong database skills, specifically MySQL (DBA experience not required)
• E-commerce experience, including direct interaction with payment processors
• Familiarity with queued processing, specifically RabbitMQ
• Experience with large-scale distributed databases and websites
• Knowledge of distributed application development is a plus

Additional Details:

• Contract-based employment with a gross salary range up to $4.5k USD
• Working hours based on Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
• 10 working days of vacation, in addition to public holidays from your country
• We are seeking senior developers with substantial experience
• Frontend skills are a bonus but not mandatory for this position
