SQL DBA

We are looking for a DBA for a leading custom software product development company with a strong track record of over 25 years. With a success rate of over 90%, their projects have generated substantial revenue for diverse range of clients, including startups and industry giants. They specialize in working with companies that leverage their software offerings to gain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Migrating 2TB of data from Microsoft SQL Server to AWS while minimizing downtime.
• Optimizing and tuning stored procedures to ensure efficient data transfer and operation in the new environment.
• Setting up and configuring databases in AWS cloud.
• Integrating data from various sources and systems.
• Participating in database design, including schema creation, indexing, and constraints.
• Providing timely support and troubleshooting for database issues.
• Collaborating with other team members and data analysts to solve problems effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DBA or similar role, working on high-load projects.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Understanding of database design principles, normalization, and query optimization.
• Experience with database management tools and development environments such as SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, or equivalent.
• Experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server and AWS is essential.
• Expertise in optimizing stored procedures for efficient data transfer and operation.
