About the role
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI research and deployment, and a passion for solving complex, technical problems.
- Strong experience in AI research and development, ideally with a focus on privacy-preserving techniques
- Extensive knowledge in NLP, LLM architectures like transformers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are proactive, driven, and creative
- You are good at collaboration and teamwork - many of our projects are large engineering efforts that involve most or all of the team
- Extraordinary qualifications, past research or Github profiles
You are a good fit
- You have a understanding of performance in HPC workloads, have worked with large GPU clusters
- Experience with scaling inference of LLMs
- You are able to solve both small, isolated problems like bugs in code, as well as grapple with large meta-level problems
- Our work is at the intersection of IT-Security, Law and ML, therefore it is beneficial to posses knowledge in adjacent domains
- You have knowledge in Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning approaches such as Trusted Execution Environments, Federated Learning, Homomorphic Encryption, Zero-Knowledge-Proofs or Secure Multiparty Computation.
Typical activities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in AI, with a focus on privacy-preserving techniques
- Design, train and optimize novel base models
- Conceive privacy-first schemes for LLM inference
- Fine-tune existing large-scale models to specific domains
- Solve deployment issues of large-scale models, like model parallelism
- Building large-scale datasets
- Implementing new models or techniques from research papers
- Contribute to strategical decisions of the company
