Job Description

unPLUG is looking for an ambitious front-end developer to build highly scalable, intuitive user interfaces and AI features that support our food ordering product. unPLUG values collaboration, continuous testing, and iterative development models. The front-end engineer will report directly to the company CTO and be an integral part of the unPLUG’s product development team.

Front-End Engineer Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cutting edge web ordering platform.
• Committing tested, documented, and reviewed code on a frequent basis, ideally daily.
• Working with our Product management team to settle on requirements.
• Estimating scope prior to coding features.
• Understanding the full scope of a feature, how it will be realized in our UI and used by our customers.
• Understanding performance and security consideration for the code being shipped.
• Collaborating with other team members to decompose large tasks into small, testable commits.
• Reviewing other team members’ code.
• Supporting our products and customers in production.
• Actively supporting our continuous journey of applying “just enough” processes to quickly deliver features.

Requirements

• 4 or more years building production software, ideally in a commercial environment with experience supporting and shipping products.
• 2 or more years of recent experience with the React JS framework.
• Direct experience with RESTful services. Interest in building AI rich features, tools and supporting frameworks Bachelor's degree in any field.
