Chief Technology Officer

IMPORTANT: This is an unpaid position although as a founder the selected individual will receive equity in Civi. Our expectation is that the individual will contribute at least 10 hours per week.

Civi is building a new digital movement for people who want to engage and organize with people who hold different views than their own on the issues they care most about. We aim to bring together those who believe that our differences are not strong enough to keep us from coming together.

We have already launched beta versions of the platform on iOS and Android and have wbeen testing and refining the platform with a small group of users in three countries. We recently released a full release of the mobile platform and launched a beta of a web version in April 2023.

We’re looking for someone who is independently driven, a creative thinker, and dependable executer. Ultimately, we want someone who delivers high quality results without needing to be micro-managed. And of course, a passion for the type of post-partisan future we are trying to build is a must. You will be responsible for moving Civi into full release and beyond, including leading software development, architecture design, and assembling and managing the right team to execute. Presently we are working with a team of developers based in South Asia, so experience managing dispersed teams will be an asset.
