Job Summary:

As the Sr. Manager, Creative – Channel, you will strategically guide the creative and brand direction for the assigned Business Unit (BU) and key focus area. You will provide creative direction for brand campaigns and oversee the development of all creative content across various channels. You will manage the timeline, resources, and budget of the creative team, including design, copywriting, and UX.

Candidates must be based in the Chicagoland area. This role will be primarily remote, but candidates must be able to travel to our Oak Brook, IL headquarters when the business need arises.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in graphic design, interaction design, or user experience design in an advertising or client setting
  • B2B brand communication experience
  • Experience managing outside vendors
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Link to online portfolio must be included with resume submission

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strategic thinker with good understanding of brand, brand development, needs-based end-user segmentation, and user-centered design solutions

Responsibilities & Additional Job Details:

  • Pitch campaign ideas to executive leadership and business unit stakeholders
  • Lead brainstorming / creative sessions to generate ideas and build recommendations that support the creative strategy
  • Lead development of content and presentations; determine process to evaluate ideas and provide feedback to the team
  • Build cross-functional strategic relationships with the BUs, Sales, and Channel owners to ensure best brand and creative experiences
  • Develop new creative strategies, roadmaps, and campaign tactics in partnership with the BUs to meet business objectives for awareness, sales, and myQ connections
  • Ensure projects are appropriately scoped, internal and external resources are allocated and managed, and deadlines are met
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis of other brands and products in our space
  • Minimal travel: 5-10%, domestic
