The Role

SPREADs Engineering Intelligence Network is a product high in demand from customers across different manufacturing industries. By achieving significant year-over-year growth since 2019, SPREAD is actively paving its way to multiple domains. That’s the reason why we are “pitching” you to join the team as a Business Development Representative!

In this role, you will drive our sales and play a key role in SPREAD's success. It is your task to understand the needs of potential corporate customers and to work with them to develop value-creating solutions utilizing our Platform and Apps. You will be responsible for the entire engagement with potential and new customers from lead generation to qualification to supporting the sales team in closing.

The ideal candidate should be excited by selling into new markets, strategizing the next steps, identifying, and engaging with new people and customers, and accelerating the Sales Team to reach their sales goals.

YOUR MISSION

  • Your goal will be to use your pipeline generation skills to identify and acquire new leads and customers from Automotive to Machinery OEMs and beyond;
  • With a customer-centric approach, you will qualify their business objectives and determine how SPREAD can help them better achieve their KPIs;
  • You further develop and implement lead generation, account, and industry strategies to engage with new customers;
  • Your customer relation skills as well as your drivenness by innovative solutions allow you to be in constant exchange with our customers regarding our product. You collect their requirements, validate them, and pass them on to the Sales Team in a structured way to systematically identify potentials for existing and new customer groups;
  • You acquire new business contacts and represent SPREAD, equipped with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and many more;
  • You monitor and analyze industry developments and deduct innovative areas for lead generation;
  • You organize and prepare account/industry meetings and conference calls;
  • You work closely with your sales colleagues and cross-functional teams, you target defined customers and integrate them into the sales pipeline;
  • You will become an expert in our platform and our offering. This will enable you to react spontaneously and professionally to concerns from potential customers;
  • You always have your ear close to the customer and the market and therefore have an overview of current and future customer needs;
  • You establish together with the Sales Team the inbound and outbound lead requirements needed to meet the sales objectives;
  • You are an evangelist for the product and personally help close large deals.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  1. Fluent in both spoken and written English and German is a must;
  2. A formal degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or comparable studies with a relevant focus;
  3. Initial practical experience in Business Development, preferably for B2B Software SaaS Companies;
  4. An affinity for the automotive and/ or other manufacturing industries such as transportation, heavy equipment, or aviation;
  5. Possess a natural talent for customer satisfaction, and skill in influencing and negotiating with people at all levels of seniority and responsibility;
  6. The natural talent and practical experience in thinking your way into the business models of our prospects, with an ability to devise how we can create win-win situations together;
  7. Capability to work independently and structured, with a goal-oriented personality and willingness to bring your ideas to the team;
  8. Passion to work in a young and dynamic team with great vision;
