Head of Engineering

The role: As a Head of Engineering you will work directly with the founder and have the opportunity to come and build a market changing platform. You will:

• Be responsible for architecting the technical vision for the company.
• Be a savvy product focused engineering leader, integrating Product requirements, use cases, UX/UI, into technical specs.
• Determine operational feasibility and recommend optimal/potential solutions
• Translate business and product requirements into technical specifications.
• Will have full autonomy to manage internal systems, the technology stack, and to develop the product infrastructure for scale; while collaborating with the founding team and customers on the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 5-10 years software development experience, in B2C, app-based applications preferably Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Active coding skill, full stack experience development experience
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience ‘hiring’ and managing engineering teams (internal and external) Focus on building tools and features with stellar UX.
• Scope development effort, including budgets and resources. Experience working on app applications and modern programming languages and frameworks Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies.
• Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
