Engineering Manager

TeachFX uses voice AI to show educators personalized insights about the learning dynamics in their classroom, helping them understand which of their instructional practices are making the greatest positive impact on student engagement and equity. We're bringing together the best of computational linguistics, machine learning, and education research, to superpower teachers in their work. As an Engineering Manager at TeachFX, you'll be a key leader of our company as we scale, and you’ll help define TeachFX’s engineering culture. You’ll build the systems that will support our growth, and will take ownership of projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Play a key role in engineering and product strategy, priorities, and culture.
• Recruitment: Grow our engineering team, developing a best-in-class hiring process that attracts talented and mission-aligned engineers.
• Strategy & Planning: Collaborate closely with our CTO and Head of Product to set the roadmap and scope projects.
• Implementation: Define and manage day-to-day engineering tasks and team responsibilities. Roll up your sleeves and jump into the codebase to provide guidance, support, and an extra pair of hands.
• Process: Work with the team to set our engineering velocity and culture, ensuring both speed and quality.
• Culture: Develop a team culture that our engineers love being a part of.

Our tech stack: We use React, React Native, Django, Postgres and GraphQL. In addition, we use Airflow, Vertex AI, Docker, Expo, BigQuery, Data Studio, and other Google Cloud Platform services.
