Your Mission
You’ll drive Baliston’s email program, finding compelling ways to attract, engage, convert, and onboard prospects and customers while continually deepening our collective understanding of content and messaging that resonates with our audiences.
Responsibilities
As Email Manager, you’ll be a crucial member of the launch team. You’ll start by identifying the ideal ESP, then work with designers and copywriters to create automated campaigns and a plan for supporting the launch through its various stages.
As we hit our stride, you’ll work with the Content Director to establish an email calendar and establish the email features and functionality roadmap. You’ll also work with the CMO and Database Manager to introduce customer segmentation approaches and appropriate customer journeys.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Manage email design and creation with the support of design and copy resources
• Implement, with the support of the technical team, the ESP; work with ESP to track and take advantage of its product roadmap
• Own the email capabilities and testing roadmaps
• Oversee list management, cleaning, and growth
• Identify and lead strategies for email capture through BAL’s website and retail location(s)
• Create automated campaigns including transactional emails (confirmation, shipping, etc.), customer and prospect “welcome series,” abandoned cart, and browse-based emails
• Develop contact strategies based on customer segmentation
• Create and share reporting on email performance on a campaign basis (open, clicks, conversions, etc.) and by email type (content-driven, promotional, etc.)
• Establish email briefing documentation and complete as/where needed
• Develop and maintain relationships in the industry to cultivate new opportunities
About You
You’re a driven individual possessing a constant desire to propel the business. To be the ideal candidate, you’ll be an out-of-the box thinker capable of creating compelling campaigns while being an excellent project and process manager.:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Minimum 5 years' email experience, with at least 3 with manager or director-level experience in email management of DTC/B2C brand(s)
• Experience in A/B/multivariate testing
• Ability to function in operating at both the strategic and tactical level
• Comfort in communicating with all levels of an organization, and representing the content function in executive-level discussions
• Excellent planning and communication skills
• Comfort with adapting to change and an ability to multitask and handle workload effectively to meet deadlines
