Senior Systems Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced software engineer who can lead our efforts to ensure our products work performantly on Linux, Windows, and Mac. This is a role for a strong developer with deep knowledge of C++ and cross-platform build systems, as well as a proven track record of shipping native applications. This person will partner with existing product teams, define and own the technical roadmap, and lead/mentor more junior engineers on this effort. We're looking for someone who has:

• Working knowledge of cross-platform C++, OS native API's, and build systems
• Proven experience shipping native applications, and working on complex software within a large team
• Capacity to be a self-starter and quickly become comfortable with new technical tools
• Extensive experience designing efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges
• Proven ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

• Experiencing leading and mentoring junior engineers
• Working knowledge of Bazel, CMake, and containerization frameworks (such as Docker or Kubernetes)
• Experience working with simulation tools, modeling physical problems, or using robotics middlewares (such as ROS)

The salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
