Interior Designer

Job Description

An ideal candidate is responsible for the overall activities concerning an event, including idea generation, creating the final design for the event, determining the best production process to apply, and managing the event production and implementation. While designing an event, he/she takes into consideration the entire consumer journeys at the event.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for creating event designs, drawings, and renderings for company’s events, following departmental and company policies, procedures, and practices
• Produce complex digital files in scales from concept to finish for assigned events
• Make sure designs satisfy client and corporate requirements, are within budget, and are delivered within deadline
• Resolve issues among clients, internal departments, and vendors by interfacing with them
• Participate in departmental, planning, and design meetings, as well as in brainstorming sessions
• Ensure paperwork, digital design files, and renderings are well-organised and maintained
• Ensure project status, delivery information are promptly communicated to internal teams and clients
• Become knowledgeable of company event site and inventory
• Be current on new technologies and software, design trends, vendor products, props/design elements, and production techniques
• Perform all necessary paperwork; ensure consistency and accuracy
• Perform other work related tasks that may be requested.

Softwares Known

SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, Auto-CAD & Added advantage to utilise Maya

Knowledge, skill and abilities

• Proven ability to expect and solve problems related to production timeline and creativity
• Innovative minded individual with strong ability to generate new ideas continually concerning design creation and production techniques
• Possess positive attitude with the ability and willingness to work with clients and professionals from other departments of the company
• Strong ability to handle issues proactively – ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and give a solution
• Passionate about being an event designer, organiser, or planner
• Solid portfolio of college projects including events, such as weddings, parties, corporate events, and meetings
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and time management skills
• Strong sales skills to be able to sell ideas to clients, management, etc. and to develop productive and mutually benefiting business relationships
• Strong ability to manage several projects together independently
• Strong ability to utilise MS Office products effectively.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing/ completed a bachelor's degree in either Architecture, B.design, B.A or any design related major. Freshers are welcome
