Vice President Research & Development (VP R&D)

About the role:

Magic Square is searching for a Russian Speaking VP R&D to lead the Developer Team. Our VP R&D serves a vital role in shaping the development of Magic Square's Features and bringing the founder's vision into reality!

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Management of a global R&D team
• Create high-quality software solutions on tight schedules with responsibility and ownership of R&D deliveries
• Design solutions, set technical direction and quality standards, implement hands-on guide
• Define the growth plan and strategy for the R&D team
• Assure detailed plans, and budgets and outline specific steps necessary for successful commercialization with agreed-upon dates and resources needed to complete each milestone
• Command a full range of leadership responsibilities: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and training employees, assigning and directing work, driving performance management, tracking & improving R&D KPIs, and more

The ideal candidate - who you are and requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in managing R&D organization
• Work Experience in the Blockchain industry
• Fluent in Russian & English
• Proven experience in Cloud products and platforms
• Proven experience in delivering high-quality products
• Ability to lead R&D to deliver major innovation and roadmap items
• Ability to adapt to various technologies and research new concepts, excellent
communication, and problem-solving skills
• A true team player, with great leadership and interpersonal skills
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
