How You'll Make An Impact:

Bushel’s Controller is responsible for the financial health of a company. Their goal is to maximize profits. They create financial reports, investment strategies, and long-term goals for the business. The Controller oversees the accounting team and works closely with others in the Finance Department and operational staff to handle day-to-day accounting functions.

In This Role, You'll Get To:

Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger for multiple legal entities.

Assist in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements.

Support monthly and annual close processes, including bank reconciliations and preparing and posting adjusting entries.

Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

Assist in providing detailed analysis and explanations of all transactions.

Provide support to operations staff for ongoing accounting issues.

Document and ensure the proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.

Assist in continually developing and improving the finance department’s processes and procedures.

Assist in preparing and evaluating budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.

Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.

Increase productivity by developing automated dashboards and reporting tools.

Provides support and guidance to their team.

Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and feedback for direct reports.

Interviews, hires, and helps train new staff in the department.

Other duties as assigned.

What Bushel Is Looking For:

10+ years of relative experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Valid CPA status or CMA certification

Experience with mergers and acquisitions, investments, stock options, business taxes, Netsuite ERP software, and budgeting

Experience maintaining multiple ledgers

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
