Fourth are expanding globally at a rapid pace and we are looking to recruit an experienced Production Engineer to support our London team! Fourth are well on the way to building out automated, highly available and zero-downtime infrastructure pipelines that are being standardised across the entire business.

The Production Engineer will align with a London based team to map, document and create the exact levels of tooling, instrumentation and automation that both exist and need to be created to ensure the creation of elastic, scalable and redundant infrastructure and platforms.

Production Engineer Role Overview:

You will be a seasoned engineer with demonstrable provenance in Infrastructure cloud design, build and configuration. Working within a continuous delivery model will be the norm and (competent in one or more programming languages) you will operate with a software engineering mind set.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)• Configuration Management (Chef)• Cloud providers (Azure and AWS)• Jenkins CI/CD• Azure DevOps• Implementing solutions to provide observability of platform status and health• Software defined networking• Automated deployment tooling (Octopus, Azure DevOps)

Skills required:

• Terraform• Configuration Management (ideally Chef)• Kubernetes (cloud based)• Docker (Kubernetes or AWS ECS Fargate)• Extensive cloud experience (ideally Azure and AWS)• Programming and scripting language used in production systems
