Looking for Senior Technical Artists and Technical Art Directors to bridge the gap between art and engineering, own our asset production pipelines, and leverage their artistic and technical skills to help make our creative vision a reality.
Our goal is to build a supportive team of strong problem solvers, communicators, and area specialists that love to lead and manage other Technical Artists and collaborate with the Art Director, Technical Director, Game Director, and production artists to create exciting experiences for players to enjoy spending time.
Expert-level proficiency in several of these pillars: shading, profiling, scripting, optimization, VFX, procedural workflow
Expert-level proficiency in various industry-standard DCC software packages
Strong Proficiency in C++, Python and DCC scripting languages
Strong understanding of methods of optimizing game art assets for game engines
Broad understanding of the Unreal Engine: Blueprints, Level Streaming or Profiling
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly provide technical feedback into the tasks, toolsets, and documentation
Knowledge of current and future technolog
Experience and knowledge with Houdini and Procedural Generation
Responsibilities
Takes a major role in the decision making of new projects technologies
Works on prototyping workflow for art production teams
Create custom tools and scripts to increase the productivity and efficiency of the art team
Generate and maintain pipeline and processes for better cross-discipline collaboration
Establishes tool priorities for the project
Sets standards and enforces their adoption
Ensure end-user documentation is created and maintained
Contributes with best practices for the team
Streamline workflow by proactively finding solutions and by working with production teams
Analyze memory/performance concerns throughout the project’s development
Work together with the Technical Art team as the problem-solving unit of the project
Serve as a mentor for junior artists to grow in the Technical Art Domain
