Product Manager

We are looking to hire for an exciting startup in the field of genealogy!

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced and scalable start-up with an existing product and users to
1. Improve the user experience
2. Create a marketing strategy to increase adoption
3. Manage Technical Delivery and strategy with outsourced technical provider

Does this sound like you?
• Experience working as core team member or founder/cofounder of 1-2 startups
• Leadership of product UX design
• Experience growing B2C product from early stage to greater than 20K users before liquidation event
• Fund Raising experience with venture/angel investors
• International product sales development background
• Outsourced vendor management and governance skills.
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Top school experience with both a technical and marketing background.

What a typical day at work would be like?
• Build customer profile and develop strategy/plan to grow product internationally and domestically using a multichannel marketing approach.
• Create a prioritized list of UX changes for product both mobile and web by using combination of experience, focus groups and market research.
• Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
• Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
• Work closely with outsourced engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
• Drive product sales with marketing strategies & bringing in new clients
• Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
• Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
