We're looking for a Senior iOS Developer to join our team and help take our mobile app to the next level and make CheckN indisputably the best experience in our category through high-quality mobile user experiences. The ideal candidate will receive the unique career opportunity to work across multiple product teams. You will have visibility to all aspects of product development, and collaborate closely with our design, product, and engineering teams to push new features that will improve the experience of hundreds of thousands to millions of people. Responsibilities include:

• 10+ years of strong experience in development for iOS using Swift
• Experience with version control and bug tracking systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to design and deliver a high-quality iOS product.
• Build and architect reliable, performant, and scalable mobile applications while developing clean, modular, and reusable code while iterating and shipping rapidly.
• Communicate effectively within a distributed team of developers and quality engineers.
• Participate in the agile development processes including sprint planning, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.
• Good theoretical knowledge of algorithms/data structures/software architecture principles and practices.
• Engage with upper management and founders to transform our user pain points and business needs into intuitive experiences.
• Collaborate with remote team members through code reviews and pairing.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience and references to shipped products with a large user base (built on Swift) currently in the App Store.
• Deep understanding of location-based products in the iOS lifecycle and Apple APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Solid engineering and coding skills as well as a basic understanding of data structures and asynchronous programming for a stable product capable of reaching 1 million users.
• Demonstrated ability to design and advocate for a technical roadmap, as a strategy and prioritization exercise.
• Nice to have: demonstrated design and UX sensibilities.
• Experience working with products used by 500k to 1 million users.
• Experience working in every step of the mobile development process: development, debugging, and deployment.
• You have solid communication skills and are excited about collaborating with backend teams, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Ability to keep a calm temperament and work under pressure with a sense of urgency when things break.
• You have the desire to grow, mentor, and learn from your fellow in-house developers and/or additional offshore resources, regardless of level.
