Chief Technical Officer (potential Co-Founder)

Persona is seeking a Chief Technical Officer who will lead the growth and development of our current platform (which is both web and mobile), help us build a team of engineers and product specialists, The CTO willl lead the process of transitioning product development and management from our current contractor team to an internal team, and make key decisions about tech stack and platform architecture going forward. This CTO may serve as a cofounder depending on experience, fit with CEO and interest in a larger role with more responsibility.

Prior startup experience is strongly preferred, with at least ten years of overall experience. Preference for candidates who have built and managed teams. Candidate compensation will consist of:

1) Cash compensation for a transitional period in which CTO will become familiar with the current product and code base and assist the CEO in raising a Series A round of financing. This period will be part-time.
2) Significant equity compensation of between 5% and 15% depending on the candidate experience, fit and interest in becomming a cofounder.
3) Upon close of the next round of financing (Q1 2021), the role will become full time with significantly greater cash compensation.

You should be able to balance code quality and speed to market. If you have built mobile apps and websites from scratch we definitely want to hear from you.

We are currently on a Microsoft .Net stack. The current mobile app is built on a Xamarin framework, which we may look to replace. Experience with or ability to quickly learn C#, Visual studios and ASP .Net is required. We may change tech stacks going forward so knowledge of Python or Node is a big plus. You should have an opinion on what we will use going forward and be able to understand the pros and cons.

• Experienced in a fast paced early stage startup
• Deep knowledge of database technologies and back end architecture
• Proficient in C# sufficient to evaluate current code base
• Knowledge of Gitlab / Git
• Product focus: The user is your first concern
• Understand and implement security and data protection.
