Khyria is the first all-in-one personal female digital health toolkit, on a mission to empower women in midlife and beyond lead their best lives and be the best version of themselves. Co-founded by The Sanguine Lab and the one of leading US experts in the field of menopause, Khyria is a VC-backed startup in stealth mode offering data-driven, evidence-based, woman-centric solutions during their menopausal transition. We love solutions that zero in on women and their experiences and by leveraging data and evidence we aim to redefine wellness, care delivery, reduce trial and error, and radically improve female health outcomes.
We are creative problem solvers, working together on small, inclusive, and autonomous teams. Together, we identify, prioritize, and address the challenges required to deliver on our goals. As part of a distributed team, you will work with colleagues around the world under a common impactful vision.
As a Khyria Backend Engineer you will produce scalable software solutions in the women’s health space, being a member of a cross-functional team of engineers and data scientists responsible for the back-end software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

Your journey

Collaborate with the development team and data scientists to ideate software solutions and improve functionality and architecture
Design and implement a clean server-side architecture
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Develop effective APIs and RESTful services
Write testing software to ensure efficiency and scalability
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Write technical documentation

Your equipment

Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. TypeScript, JavaScript, Python), JavaScript frameworks (e.g. NestJS, React, Node.js) and third-party libraries
Familiarity with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), web servers (e.g. Nginx)
Self-starter collaborative mindset and empathetic communicator
Enjoying creative problem-solving and analytical thinking
Passion for innovation in health tech is a plus
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
