Founding Engineer: Full Stack Developer

Description:
As a WordPress and Full Stack Web Developer at Chups you will be responsible for building and maintaining websites, microsites, landing pages, emails, ads, and digital campaigns.
Along with your coding chops you must have the ability to design and implement custom WordPress themes while working closely with the Creative and Marketing teams You must be proficient in designing for desktop and handheld deployments using current UI and UX patterns and methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
Initial contract for a minimum of 6-months, planned for extension or conversion to full- time role.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Ensure the Chups website meets desired business objectives, brand guidelines, and creative standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work with WordPress and WP Engine including custom theming, development, and deployment.
• A deep knowledge of creating frontend designs using the latest frameworks on core HTML/CSS/JS.
• Collaborate with the Web Team on architecting the site structure strategies, considering factors such as usability, linking structure and metrics.
• Close collaboration with Brand & Creative teams to ensure brand cohesiveness.
• On-going review and maintenance of the WordPress install (core, plugins, etc.) implementing updates and a standardized support process.
• Lead project/workflow management
• Ensure optimized website performance with monthly measurement and reporting via Google Analytics.
• Work with internal departments and external vendors in planning, implementation, and launch of projects.
• Utilize quality/process tools and methodologies in individual work and team work. Instill trust through reliability, quality, and integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in working with cross functional teams including marketing and creative departments.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated ability building web experiences, including Web Standards, client-side behaviors, database integrations, and multiple device deployments.
• Proficient in server side languages and database structures including PHP and MySQL. Implementation of web data collection across click-through events.
• Proven success in project management and production processes including gathering requirements and defining projects for web design and development projects. Fundamental knowledge of Gulp, Git, or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of interface design standards, information architecture, user experience, and web accessibility.
• Ability to collaborate constructively with others to solve problems and share knowledge. Ability to prioritize key tasks when confronted with limited time and/or resources.
• Superior organizational skills, written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a distributed, dynamic environment and on a variety of fast-moving, simultaneous projects often under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
