The Role

Purpose of role:
The Group maintains legal entities and taxable presences in 34 territories, of which 31 are in EMEA & APJ. This creates a significant ongoing tax compliance and business support workload. Reporting to the Tax Director – EMEA & APJ, the purpose of this role is to manage and provide support in relation to tax matters in EMEA & APJ, working closely with and supported by the Tax & Treasury team, the Dublin Finance team and external tax advisors.

Please note that we are offering fixed-term contract.

Tax compliance and planning
• Ensure all direct tax and transfer pricing compliance requirements in assigned territories are met (returns, payments, supporting documentation etc), working closely with the Tax Director – EMEA & APJ, the Dublin Finance team, external tax advisors and the Transfer Pricing Director
• Ensure tax figures and disclosures in local financial statements / statutory accounts are calculated, complete and accurate
• Provide support in relation to local tax authority audits and enquiries
• Support with implementation of local tax planning opportunities (tax incentives etc.)
• Maintain direct tax compliance tracker showing status of tax returns and payments across the Group
• Business support
• Advise and support the business in relation to direct and indirect tax issues and employment tax issues
• Advise and support the Dublin Finance team as required in relation to tax and transfer pricing matters
• Transfer pricing
• Support the implementation of transfer pricing compliance across the group, including the implementation and communication of policies and procedures
• Ensure appropriate documentation is in place, including legal agreements and local territory documentation

Other
• Support the Treasury team in relation to the management of cash and intercompany balances
• Build close relationship with the Dublin Finance team and external tax advisors
• Support quarterly / annual tax reporting as required
• Experience and qualifications required

Accounting or Tax qualification
• Minimum 3-4 years’ pqe managing corporate tax affairs either in an accounting firm or in-house
• Experience of international tax and transfer pricing arrangements
• Excellent organisational skills
• Problem-solver, with high level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues/advisors in diverse locations
• Team player
• Reporting responsibilities
