Flourish Agenda is an innovative social justice non-profit organization that works with schools, youth serving organizations, foundations, and local governments to build and implement strategies that allow young people of color to flourish. We are the providers of the Healing Centered Engagement approach, tools, and research. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Growth and Opportunities, the Marketing and Community Manager will manage, and oversee execution of Flourish Agenda’s external communication efforts to prospects along with current clients. The Marketing and Communications Manager will focus on areas such as branding, messaging, content creation and increasing awareness of not only our services, but our broader mission.

Flourish Agenda is in the midst of an exciting period of growth as we transition out of a start-up phase. This is an opportunity for a leader with content knowledge in healing justice and transformational leadership development as well as management experience, to lead a growing body of work. This person must be entrepreneurial, innovative, driven, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and collaborative nonprofit environment.

The successful Marketing and Community candidate will bring a solid foundation of experience working in marketing and sales environments. You will have a deep understanding of analytics, industry best practices and a history of meeting or exceeding goals. Additional plus includes experience working in an ecosystem that surrounds youth of color, which may include experience in one or more of the following systems: Education, Juvenile Justice, Social Services and Non-profit community-based organizations.

The Marketing and Community Manager will work collaboratively with our clients, Program Team and other team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Marketing and Communications

Duties include:

Develop, implement, and manage communications and marketing plan.
Engage with community groups at various meetings and events. Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, online promotions, advertisements and other marketing materials.
Conduct A/B testing where results influence long term marketing strategy.
Prepare marketing analytics including PR, social, email, etc.
Collaborate with all departments to reach organizational goals.
Stay up to date on marketing best practices and trends.
Develop and maintain online community efforts – Facebook, Learning Management System forum, email communication.
Create and distribute monthly e-newsletter and other external facing communication.
Manage social media efforts – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Post blogs.
Manage and lead testimonial capturing efforts, video and text.
Manage and oversee all graphic design efforts focusing on marketing and program collateral.
Explore new avenues Flourish Agenda can pursue to spread awareness of our work and mission, both organic and paid.
Update and manage messaging on website.
Promote all Flourish Agenda programs and events to increase attendance.
Develop and maintain brochures, flyers, one-sheets and other promotional materials.
Create and maintain Google Adwords campaigns.
Track coupon redemptions to analyze marketing channel effectiveness.
Manage specific projects assigned to Consultants and third party vendors.
Prepare and monitor Marketing budget.
Other duties as assigned.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing/public relations, business administration, or related field 3+ years of paid marketing experience
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to supervise and work with a variety of professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Candidate must possess strong organizational skills; be proactive; and possess the ability to work independently handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment, with attention to detail.
Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Must be able to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.

JOB TYPE

This is a full-time, exempt and benefited position.

WORK HOURS/SCHEDULE

The Project Manager works during traditional business hours, Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Given the current climate of COVID-19, the position will work remotely until further notice. There will be occasional staff convenings, which will be in compliance with CDC social distancing guidelines.

The position requires occasional early morning, evening and weekend hours. Once shelter in place regulations are lifted, there will be local and national travel for multi- day meetings, site visits, and retreats at least four time per year.

COMPENSATION

$80,000.00 - $85,000 annual salary.
