Cookd is at a unique point in its growth as a company. On one hand, we just raised our pre-seed funding gearing up for the next stage of growth. One the other hand, we launched our Cookd app that recorded 10,000 downloads in less than 3 days of launch.

Cookd is a Chennai-based home cooking-focused content, community, and commerce company. Founded in 2020, Cookd was born to make cooking at home easy, efficient, and fun by building a digital-first cooking brand.

Cookd needs to become the home-cooking app of India. And that’s where you come in.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, build and maintain React Native application for Cookd with clean code.
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Integrate with third party APIs.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Unit test the code for robustness, edge cases, usability and general reliability.
• Release Applications on Apple App and Google Play Stores.
• Work as a part of a small team which will include a backend developer and visual designer.

Skills and Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience working with React Native.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and working with API centric applications.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Experience with Source Control using git or similar tools.
