Investor Deck Researcher & Creator

This position is for a multi-talented individual who is well-versed in tech, startups, fundraising, and investor decks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing various "hats" and is both creative and analytical. This job requires a unique set of skills and experience, including storytelling skills, writing skills, research skills, market research skills, market sizing skills, and consulting experience. Your job will primarily be to assist Pitch Deck Experts in creating decks, autonomously building decks using the Pitch Genius Methodology, and servicing clients. Your secondary role as a team member will be to support sales and business development. If you're entrepreneurial, love consulting startups, and are skilled in telling good stories using slides, this is a perfect position for you.

As an Investor Deck Consultant, you are responsible for assisting the Pitch Deck Experts in performing the market research necessary to discover and size a startup's market opportunity. Your mission is to find relevant articles, market research reports, government data, and anything else that might be relevant to a particular market opportunity through Google. This position requires you to be analytical, extremely organized, and very methodical in the approach taken to complete market research, competition research, exit strategy research, and product portfolio research. The research will end with a client-ready research report that includes a final assessment of the market/industry and a final recommendation on what relevant research to use for the pitch deck's story arc. You will also be responsible for making sure all market research reports are accurate, complete, and easy to follow for clients. You will also be responsible for making sure relevant research, accurate data, and correct sources are applied to all materials created for the client, including (but not limited to) pitch decks.

As an Investor Deck Consultant, you are also responsible for assisting Pitch Deck Experts in building pitch decks from scratch and developing full first drafts for our Pitch Deck Experts to review. This involves creating a strong and meaningful storyline about our client's business plan and startup journey using relevant research and data. This position requires you to be analytical, have strong writing skills, some design skills within PowerPoint, and have client-facing consulting experience.

This dynamic position will ultimately provide a high-quality product and service to our clients while working internally with the team to scale Pitch Genius.

Responsibilities:

● Reading, analyzing, and assessing market and industry data, reports, graphs, charts, and any other findings

● Sourcing and verifying all data points are correct and true

● Keeping all research sources organized

● Providing a final assessment for the market opportunity

● Providing a final recommendation for how to size the market.

● Providing a final recommendation for the most relevant trends, competitors, and or potential acquirers

● Review content and recommend improvements, including content clarity and brevity to pitch deck

● Build storyline arcs using persuasive language and creative visuals on slides

● Create investor decks from scratch

● Be client-facing

● Coordinate with Pitch Deck Experts to ensure projects are delivered on time

● Interface with internal team to build strong working relationships

● Assist with the production and distribution of pitch materials

● Assist with sales and business development

● Any database management

● Any admin duties

Qualifications:

● BA/BS degree

● MBA preferred

● Prior experience performing market research

● Prior experience building pitch decks

● Prior experience writing business plans

● General business acumen

● Proficiency in understanding market research and finding compelling data points to support persuasive arguments.

● Proficiency in PowerPoint

● Proficiency in building slides

● Strong writing and storytelling skills

● Tech-savvy and able to adapt to new software.

● Working knowledge of designing presentations within PowerPoint

● Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation)

● Creative thinker with the ability to recognize and improve content into short, condensed, and digestible bullet points or sentences

● Excellent editing, proofreading, and project management skills with attention to detail

● Ability to conduct and comprehend market research, including delivering concise, accurate content

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve goals/deadlines change

● Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
