We sell our constantly evolving product to a huge variety of industries to sell to (over 20!) which means you'll never get bored & will have to be flexible in your approach to lead opening. We're growing quickly: with increasing team targets we need to find the best leads we can for our Sales team. We're looking for a great Business Development Associate (you, we hope?) to help us find these hidden gems.

The role

We’re a market leading tech company that provides data on the fastest growing companies in the UK (think Monzo and Babylon!). Our BD team helps potential clients see the value of our platform and works alongside our Sales team to bring in the cash.

We’re looking for a brand business development associate to search high and low for the best clients & play a crucial role in bringing them onboard.

Once your an expert on our platform, your responsibilities will include:

• ​​Researching potential clients: carrying out thorough research across market trends, and finding potential clients who can benefit from Beauhurst
• Reaching out to leads: writing targeted, well written outreach pieces via email, LinkedIn, or on the phone
• Consulting: Quickly & succinctly getting to the heart of clients’ needs, and shaping your conversation to the way that Beauhurst could help them
• Improving processes: actively finding ways to improve your own process as well as suggesting ways to improve the efficiency of the wider team

About you

You should be a University Graduate with strong academics (ABB or above at A Level, or equivalent). Any experience in business is an absolute plus!

• A natural people-person: a great listener, emotionally intelligent, and great at getting to know all different personalities
• Quick thinker: you pick things up fast, and you’re able to remain calm under pressure

Hybrid/flexible working

This trial has been paused whilst we move into our new Brixton office

Like most companies, we’ve been umm-ing and ahh-ing about this for months, trying to work out what the perfect balance between in-office and remote working should look like for us. And we’ll be totally upfront with you – it’s really hard! We don’t yet know what exactly our policy on this should look like long term. But we’re keen to share what we are currently doing. We’d also love to chat to you more about this in the course of the interview process so please do ask us questions!

And what are we doing at the moment?

• We’re currently running a trial, during which we’re asking everyone to spend at least 60% of each month in an office (London or Nottingham)
• We’ll be reviewing how this is going in November/December and again at the end of the trial – we'll take into account how everyone in the company is finding it, how managers think it's going, as well as considering it from the "company perspective"
