Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Aicadium is searching for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about AI & Machine Learning to join our development team and help lead Aicadium into new growth areas. While our U.S headquarters is in San Diego, we are looking for the best and brightest and are open to working with the right person remotely.

As a member of our Software Engineering Team, you will apply your extensive knowledge of Cloud architecture and design to work with teammates creating, extending, and improving and deploying our products into complex cloud environments.

Essential Functions

• Excellent communication skills and a team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and with a great attitude.
• Assist multi-disciplined, DevOps oriented, software development teams to deliver working product increments each sprint
• Demonstrate solid organization and interpersonal skills
• Mentor teammates helping them grow professionally and personally
• Contribute to the continued evolution of Aicadium’s technical stack and Agile approach

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage AWS/GCP/Azure infrastructure to ensure security, performance, and availability of production systems
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products, present cost-benefit analysis to team
• Troubleshoot systems and problem-solve across platform and application domains -Expertise in incident and problem management including timely problem identification, successful resolution, and root-cause analysis
• Design, build and evolve our production cloud infrastructure, employing automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
• Suggest architecture improvements and recommend process improvements
• Use your knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure to assist engineering in planning feature development

Skills & Requirements:

• You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative environment
• Experience with AWS implementation and a working knowledge of core AWS (or equivalent) products, such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, Lambda, SQS.
• Experience with container and container orchestration in a high-availability environment (Docker, Kubernetes, etc).
• Fluency with one or more scripting languages (bash, python, Go, etc)
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skills
• Experience documenting technical requirements
