The Role

About this Role

The Revenue Analytics team is hiring! As part of the Global Revenue Strategy & Operations organization, the Revenue Analytics team is an important resource to revenue leaders, and partners with other groups of analysts across the organization. This team will model a service-first mentality, committing the group to stellar, proactive support for all. You will help Sales, Marketing and Sales Finance to build real-time and offline solutions to make data accessible and reliable. You will lead by example reflecting the most pressing needs from the business by building automated reporting systems to allow the team to focus on deep insights to guide strategy and business success.

You should have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including advanced excel modeling, Tableau, Boostr/CRM, Qlik, GAM and SQL experience. You have a passion for generating quantitative analysis that will increase global revenue (programmatic and direct ads).

You will report to the Director of Central Operations which oversees Fandom's company-wide global Systems, Tooling and Data & Analytics functions. You will be focused on improving measurement and refinement of collected data and analysis and make a significant contribution to how Fandom's inventory is measured, analyzed, and monetized.

You Will…

  • Predictive Analysis
  • Leverage analytical techniques along with historical data to drive insights to determine continuous improvement opportunities and develop predictive demand and revenue models
  • Simplify complex problems & huge data sets to extract non-obvious insights
  • Data Visualization
  • Leverage data visualization techniques to present findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives
  • Lead the development of all scalable reporting tools for all global partners and executive leadership team
  • Determine data systems and tools with Systems & Tooling team, Engineering and Finance to produce revenue dashboards and other business intelligence reports
  • Build and monitor important revenue and monetization metrics dashboards
  • Provide daily revenue insights to the CFO and executive team
  • Manage and provide daily, weekly, monthly business reporting supporting Sales, Finance, and Executive management
  • Improve the current reporting process to improve yield management insights
  • Analyze partner performance and assist Sales with insights and deals.
  • Provide regional inventory and revenue analysis to direct tactical execution of monetization strategies across North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC

You Have...

  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative/problem-solving discipline (or equivalent training and experience) such as Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field
  • 3-5 years experience in statistical, business analysis, and/or strategy development
  • Data visualization, dashboarding and query tools expert including SQL, Tableau, Qlik, Lookr, Amazon Athena, Mode
  • Experience with Database Management systems and coding (Vertica, MySQL, Oracle, Python, Scala, Java) who enjoys solving complex and unstructured problems
  • Familiarity with back-end CRM, data platforms or ad inventory exchanges like Salesforce, Boostr
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, advanced formulas and lookups); Google Sheets proficiency
  • A desire to work on advertising challenges that require flexibility in approach (and/or startup experience) -- everything from on-the-fly analytics to statistics, big data, and front to back-end build outs for tooling
  • Experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and influence senior business partners
  • Deep experience in ability to simplify complex data sets and extract non-obvious insights with frameworks and analyses
  • Ability to project manage and to remain detail-oriented while working with numerous partners
  • Knowledge of the digital ad space a strong plus

Bonus Points if You Have...

  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)
  • Experience with log-level data analysis of programmatic media (programmatic advertising or programmatic ad tech)
  • Experience working with Data engineering teams and/or experience with ETL processes
  • R or Python is a strong plus
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science or a quantitative field or equivalent
