CMO at a Fast-Growing Coliving Accommodation Startup

We are looking for a persuasive and visionary Chief Marketing Officer wanting to impact students lives for the better, who knows how to wrestle with everything from developing and selling 'big brand stories' to the masses down to using a data-driven approach to tracking the nitty-gritty results.

You're a better fit if:

• You're a wordsmith and storyteller who is adaptable to startups, can be pragmatic with startup budgets and know how to employ growth-hacking style methodology

We're less excited if:

• You'd rely on copy/pasting learnings from a prior corporate role (Our key hire will figure out what works first, and then scale it)

As Cocoon's Chief Marketing Officer you would be required to:

• Lead efforts towards developing a strong, compelling brand that new tenants will flock to across the world’s most exciting cities
• Work with our Head of Product and COO to generate and test new housing products
• Use performance marketing to optimise our ROI across acquisition spend
• Test new product/market fit and nail messaging and communication
• Work with COO and VP Sales to optimise demand channels
• Negotiate key marketing partnerships

Working Hours, Locations and Remuneration:

• Normal hours are mid-morning until evening but we are all flexible and want to create a job that works around your schedule
• Our office is primarily located in Ultimo but candidates should be prepared to travel outside of the office regularly to view accommodation sites, (tele-commuting may also be possible depending on individual candidate)
• Remuneration negotiable based on the individuals' working hours, experience and skill-set
• We're currently located within Fishburners, Australia's largest space for startups

Ideal candidates will also have the following traits

• Relevant startup or business experience
• Experience working and training other staff - having previous leadership experience
• A passion for helping others that translates into caring for customers
• The desire to work in a growing team
• Exceptional communication skills
