UX Designer

Working Experience: 2-3 Years

UX Designer Responsibilities:

1. Conducting user research and testing
2. Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs
3. Collaborating with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
4. Understand product specifications and user psychology
5. Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
6. Create personas through user research and data
7. Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
8. Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
9. Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
10. Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs
11. Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
12. Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
13. Owning all phases of the design lifecycle from user research (primary and secondary) to ideation, design execution and user testing
14. Designing well thought out experience flows and creating storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
15. Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams
16. Iterating based on user feedback and activity, in order to enhance the user experience

UX Designer Requirements:

1. Degree/diploma in Design or related field
2. Prior experience as a UX Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
3. A solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies
4. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) as well UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer etc.
5. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
6. Proven experience with iterative design and development processes
7. Exposure to Lean/Agile methodologies
8. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD).
9. Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
10. Strong portfolio of design projects
11. Background in project management and research
12. Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
13. Excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
