The Role

Imagine knowing which TV programs attract what type of audience or knowing which product placements had the most impact on viewers last night. Pilotly is the first research platform built for creative content, and we help shape the creative decisions at some of the biggest organizations in the world. We aim to be the standard solution for anyone who wants to optimize their outcome with regards to video or audio content.

We are growing quickly and are excited to welcome a new inquisitive researcher to our team as we continue to scale. This position will be responsible for data analysis, questionnaire design, panelists recruiting strategy and preparing insights reports leveraging the Pilotly platform.

You’ll collaborate with in-house team resources to ensure smooth delivery of client reports, and even get involved in product enhancements. As we continue to automate processes, your feedback to the product team will be key.

| Your Daily Grind

-Create in-depth research analyses through exploration of data using our platform; decide on the correct analytic approach(es)
-Prepare reports that include detailed insights and creative recommendations using a PowerPoint or Google Slides format
-Initiate discussion / raise questions when elements of the data are inconsistent with prior findings or expectations
-Gain a larger understanding of media entertainment space and recommend ways to best incorporate research findings with client business needs
-Participate in panelist recruitment strategy

| A Good Baseline to Start From

-BA/BS preferably in social sciences, market research, statistics, marketing or economics
-2 years+ experience in primary market research to arrive at overarching insights
-Strong quantitative market research skills - comfortable in all parts of conducting market research, from creating questionnaires to delivering results.
-Experience of pricing and packaging research is a plus.
-Excellent skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, same level of skill in Google Docs is a plus
-Working knowledge of statistical or data analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, R
-Knowledge of film / television or advertising research is a plus
-Knowledge of databases (MySQL and Mongo) is a plus
