Intro to Folia
At Folia Health, our mission is to build a 360-degree view of every patient - to enable better care, better evidence for new therapies, and a more patient-driven healthcare system. So far, we’ve done this by making it simple for individuals to hold a complete view of their health, centered on their own high-resolution, “notebook” observations, in a single, actionable platform that they own and can share. Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a fast growing development team building a top-quality, innovative consumer app in the digital health space. Folia has a strong community of dedicated users on our first-of-its-kind digital platform, and is engaged in groundbreaking health outcomes research with industry partners. We are deploying venture capital to rapidly build out our organization, and are seeking a talented and ambitious backend engineer to anchor our engineering team as it scales.

This position will collaborate with engineering and product leadership to set direction for the company’s flagship application, and to design and implement the core model and web services at the heart of our system. We are in a period of high growth and talented engineers will have opportunities to rapidly advance their career and position within the company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Ability to design effective domain models
• Strong knowledge of RESTful web services
• Ability to analyze and evolve software architectures
• Experience with SQL and relational databases

What You Will Do

• Develop Folia’s core model for recording and analyzing personal health data
• Design and implement web services for consumption by our client applications
• Evaluate and lead implementation of architectural designs and standards
• Be a technical leader on the engineering team, and mentor junior engineers
• Rapidly scale your skills and role within the company as we scale our organization

Environment
We currently have an office in Cambridge, MA and our team works remote and in-person based on their individual preference.
