About us

• Mlcspaces is a fast growing co-living company based in San Francisco. We provide private rooms in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are currently managing 40 units and are looking to rapidly expand our portfolio of properties.
• We are looking for a capable chief Operation Executive to turn our successful business model into a process that we can repeat in other major cities across the U.S. Landlords and tenants both love our model because we increase affordability while increasing occupancy rates, and take the risk out from both parties. Our goal is to apply this model to every major U.S. city facing occupancy decreases and high rent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.

Responsibilities

• Formalize the Mlcspaces business model into repeatable processes that can help the business expand both in the Bay and in other cities.
• Oversee daily operations - set goals, manage the team, and execute on our current business model to achieve growth targets set in partnership with the CEO.
• Plan and implement the next city expansion of Mlcspaces.
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Be friendly and knowledgeable
• Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy
• Oversee and evaluate day-to-day operations
• Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth
• Present operational strategy recommendations to the CEO based on your market research

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Experience in fundraising will be a plus
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
• Strategic planning and business development experience
• Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
