The Managing Director Role
edinno is seeking a Managing Director to lead the company through the next chapter of growth. The Managing Director will be in charge of defining edInno’s strategic vision and overseeing its operations.

The ideal candidate will combine a passion for education and workforce innovation with the desire to grow and lead an organization. Your responsibilities will include strategy development, fundraising, operations, establishing culture, and partnership development.

The Managing Director will serve as the head of the organization, closely collaborating with the Board and managing the team of program managers.

Position Location: Boston, MA (blended or remote work is possible)
Salary: $90,000 - 100,000, benefits
Reports to: Edinno Board (Founders), supported by an Advisory Committee

Responsibilities
Organizational Strategy & Development

  • In collaboration with the Advisory Committee, define and communicate edinno’s strategy for growth and sustainability
  • Manage implementation and evaluation of organizational strategy
  • Lead the development and formalization of partner relationships (e.g. instructors, sponsors, program partners etc.)
  • Analyze and assess potential business opportunities for feasibility and mission alignment

Culture and Personnel Management

  • Direct and oversee staff responsible for program services, development & marketing
  • Nurture a collaborative team culture

Operations and Program Oversight

  • Ensure execution of daily operations of the organization
  • Lead the development of an overarching program plan, working in collaboration with program managers
  • Regularly convene team and individual meetings to assess progress and support staff with goal setting and execution of activities
  • Provide direction in prioritization and management of ongoing projects, including helping staff problem-solve
  • Identify new and innovative ways to provide services, improving efficiency and effectiveness and responding to community needs

Fiscal Management and Governance

  • Draft and oversee edinno’s annual budget
  • Prepare and lead board and advisory committee meetings
  • Align staff around strategy

Preferred:

  • Prior familiarity and experience with the edtech and workforce edtech community
  • Partnership development experience
  • Program development and management experience
