Head of Artificial Intelligence

Vatis Tech's software engineers develop the next-generation speech recognition technology that will be used in multiple fields, from legal or medical to even government institutions or call centers by businesses or developers all over the world.

In this role, you will have a significant contribution in developing and improving our models for speech recognition, speaker identification, and natural language post-processing.

Vatis Tech is a Romanian-based startup, backed by leading CEE tech investment funds with the mission to provide the most accurate and easy-to-use speech recognition API ever, for multiple fields, in multiple languages. At the same time, we're working to empower everyone to build custom speech recognition models with a minimum of resources using our infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or related technical field;
• 3 years of relevant work experience in Machine Learning software development and architectures for Machine Learning;
• Experience with one or more of the following areas: Speech Recognition, Speaker Recognition, Language Models, Natural Language Processing;
• Experience in building, deploying, and improving Machine Learning models and algorithms in real-world products;
• Experience with relevant technologies (e.g., Python, PyTorch, machine learning frameworks and libraries);
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain and improve ML models/infrastructures and software that use these models;
• Develop new models for Acoustic Speech Recognition, Speaker Recognition, Language Models, Punctuation and Capitalization;
• Contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex, real world engineering problems.
